Ken Sukhia is a former United States Attorney appointed by President George H. W. Bush, a former law clerk to a Justice on the Florida Supreme Court and to a Judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and an experienced litigator in private practice with extensive trial and appellate experience in complex and high profile litigation. As a federal prosecutor for 13 years, a senior partner in one of Florida’s largest firms from 1993 to 2006 and a former law clerk to a Judge on the Florida Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, Mr. Sukhia gained widespread experience on matters relating to Health Care, Business and Commercial Law, Employment Law, Criminal and Corporate Investigations as well as Consumer Protection issues. He is an experienced litigator with extensive trial and appellate experience in complex and high profile litigation. He serves as "of counsel" to the Firm.

Consumer and Debtor Law
Mr. Sukhia is a seasoned litigator who represents consumers against creditors and collection companies that violate state and federal consumer protection laws. These laws regulate activities and interactions between debt collectors, creditors, debt buyers and individuals.
Mr. Sukhia holds those creditors and debt collectors accountable by applying consumer protection laws to help victims of unfair debt collection, harassing telephone solicitation, unfair credit reporting and billing practices. These laws include the:
Debt collectors and creditors who violate these laws are not excused from their actions merely because a consumer may owe them money. Many times consumers are not even aware their rights have been violated under one of these laws. Mr. Sukhia and his team of experienced professionals carefully review your information and records to ensure any debt is valid and has not been inflated with unauthorized fees and penalties. In some cases violations by debt collectors, creditors and debt buyers can result in debt being completely dismissed.

Health Care Law
As U.S. Attorney, Mr. Sukhia organized and headed the first Florida Health Care Fraud Task Force. He represented HCA in a five-week medical malpractice jury trial in Ft.Lauderdale. He also served as counsel for the Florida Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) in numerous appeals regarding the Medicaid Recovery Act, interpreting U.S. Sp. Ct. Ahlborn case. Mr. Sukhia'a other trials include baby brain damage, wrongful death and compliance actions.
Appellate Law
Mr. Sukhia began his career as a law clerk at the Florida Supreme Court and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Eleventh Circuits in New Orleans and Atlanta and he has extensive experience in appeals in state and federal courts.
Business Law
Mr. Sukhia has conducted numerous internal corporate investigations on behalf of national corporations. He handled the appeal on behalf of fixed indexed annuity distributors in U.S Court of Appeals for District of Columbia to strike SEC Rule 150A designed to change the definition of fixed annuities. Mr. Sukhia and his colleagues served as trial counsel for a Saudi Sheik in a two-week jury trial in a civil theft, fraud and conversion action resulting in a $21 million verdict for his client. He has also handled accounting actions against companies defrauding partners and stockholders.
Employment Law
Mr. Sukhia was a senior partner in the Labor and Employment Law Department at Fowler White in Tampa where he represented national entities in defending Fair Labor Standards Act cases, and handled numerous ADEA and Title VII actions on behalf of employers. Mr. Sukhia has also represented the Florida School Boards Insurance Trust, handling actions on behalf of school boards around the state.
Criminal and Corporate Investigations
As a federal prosecutor for 13 years and as the United States Attorney for North Florida, Mr. Sukhia has tried scores of federal criminal felony cases. He has also handled numerous internal investigations for corporations concerned over possible wrongdoing by employees or management.
